Dear All,
Below is a slide-show of a whole bunch o' pictures from the picnic this year. As usual, the food was superb, as was the company. The menu was awesome, with the main course being grill-cooked build-your-own pizzas - there was lots of amazing food and lots of deeply satisfied diners afterward.
This year Claire was able to attend for the first time, which was really lovely. She had a great time and finally got to meet Gwyn, Tasha, and families. Dan couldn't make it this year though, sadly. :(
On Sunday, in what I hope will become an addition to the picnic tradition, Margaret, Steve, and I went on a road-ride together on their 27 mile loop down to Woodside. It was a blast, and for the record both Margaret and Steve are quite strong riders, despite all their self-depreciating comments. I'm sure with just a bit more training time they'd be ready to do the MS 150 next year, and Seattle to Portland the year after that. Ahem. :)
Many thanks again to Margaret & Steve for hosting, and particularly Margaret & Mum for slaving over hot stoves, cool Corian counters, smoking grills, Molly Stone's, etc.
