Last Sunday was my mom's birthday, and we managed to find our way down to the coast to celebrate with her. We arrived in the afternoon, after Mum's gigs, and had a very leisurely visit (after me spending a bit of time mucking about FINALLY replacing the woofers in the speakers I built for mum and dad some 20 years ago), even being so lazy as ordering out for a pizza dinner. :) Claire & the boys had baked a pretty wild cake with a maple-fudge icing. All of it was yummy. We opened presents, talked some more, and then the boys and I hit the beach where it was a lovely 61 degrees with mist/fog and a VERY cold ocean. All documented in the 21,000-word slideshow below. :)
All in all it was a lovely day.
